Pramod Venkatesh Mahajan
Born in a backward area like Marathwada, Pramod Mahajan was the leader of the ambitious and modern world think-tank.
For the first time in 1995, non-Congress government was formed in Maharashtra due to the foresight of the great dignitaries who went through such steps as Journalists, Teachers and National Politics.
They formed an alliance between the Balasaheb Thackeray and the Sena-BJP alliance.
He was one of the first party leaders of BJP, the main opposition party in the country. Mahajan was the second generation leader of the Bharatiya Janata Party.
Pramod Mahajan and Gopinath Munde, BJP's 25 years ago, started campaigning in the rural areas of Beed. Munde-Mahajan both of whom had stirred up the Maharashtra campaign.
Pramod Mahajan took over the defense ministry in the 13-day Vajpayee government in 1996. Pramod Mahajan is one of the best speakers and familiar to all.
Munde-Mahajan has done a great job to take the BJP to the national level through the Jana Sangh's miniseries.
Vasantrao Bhagwat strengthened this pair of RSS out of the disciplined leadership of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh to give a comprehensive and nation-wide form to the party.
In a sense, Bhagwat made an able choice in Marathwada as an alternative to the Saranjmi leadership. Pramod Mahajan had to keep an eye on the constituency from the beginning.
Mahajan died in a firing by his brother in 2006.
