Jayant Vishnu Naralikar
Naralikar was born in Kolhapur on July 19, 1938. His father, Vishnu Vasudev Naralikar was a famous mathematician. The head of the Mathematical Department of Banaras Hindu University in Varanasi. His mother Sumati Vishnu Narlikar was a Sanskrit scholar. Jayant Naralikar's school education at Varanasi. C. He received the BSc in 1957. He got the first position in this examination. In 1966, Naralikar married Mangala Sadashiv Rajwade (mathematician). They have three daughters - Geeta, Girija and Lelavati. He returned to India in 1972. He took over as head of Astronomy Department of Tata Basic Research Institute (TIFR) in Mumbai. In 1988, he was appointed director of Ayaka Institute of Pune.
