Anand Rishiji Maharaj
Anand Rishiji Maharaj was born on July 27, 1900 in his village Chichondi in Pathardi taluka of Ahmednagar district of Maharashtra. Their name was Nemichand. His father's name was Devichandji Gugale and mother's name Hulsabai. Big brother's name was Uttamchandji. Anand Rishiji was pure since childhood, he received spiritual guidance from his guru Ratna Rishi Maharaj.

Anand Rishiji decided to live all his life as a Jain saint at the age of 13. On 7th December 1913 (Margashis Shukla Navami), he took a call from the village of Miri in Ahmednagar district, and he was named Anand Rishiji Maharaj.

Anand Rishi ji started the Sanskrit and Prakrit education from Pandit Rajdhari Tripathi. He gave the first discourse in Ahmednagar in 1920.

Anand Rishi Ji started the work of spreading and spreading Jainism along with Ratnashreeji. According to Jain religion, Sadhus or Sadhvi should not have stayed at one place (except for sickness, aggravation). In Chaturmas, the saints can live in a place on the request of a householder.

In the year 1927, after Rattan Rishiji Maharaj (Santhara) in Alipur (Anand Rishi), he performed his first ritual at Hinganghat without his master. After the religious debate with Anand Rishiji in 1931, Jainism Divakar Maharaj felt the ability of Anand Rishiji to become a teacher.

Acharya Anand Rishi Ji on 25th November 1936, Shri. Tilok Ratna stationer Jain Religious Examination Board was established.

In the year 1942, he was declared the head of the Jain Shriman Sangha in the sadhu gathering held at Sadhdi in Rajasthan. On May 13, 1964 (Phalgun Shukla Ekadashi), Anand Rishiji became the second teacher of the Srila Sangha, held in Ajmer, Rajasthan.

Anand Rishiji came to Pune in 1974 with the completion of his chhatmas in Mumbai. His grand reception was held at Shaniwar Wada in Pune. On February 13, 1975, Maharashtra Chief Minister Yashwantrao Naik rejected him as a nation saint. Anand Foundation was founded in the same year as his 75th birthday.

Anand Rishiji received his death on 28 March 1992 in Ahmednagar. Anand Rishiji Hospital from Ahmadnagar has been built in his memory.
